Labor Builds Rhode Island

The great contributions of labor unions to the communities around Rhode Island are largely ignored by the conservative media in this state.

For example, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 99 does a tremendous amount of charitable work in the community, supporting causes like Habitat for Humanity, Rebuilding Providence Together, and much more.

On Sunday, September 9th, Local 99 joined with hundreds of Warwick Little Leaguers and their families as they dedicated a new electronic scoreboard for the league. The scoreboard was donated by Local 99, and volunteers from the union completed the electrical installation with coordination from Local 99's Business Manager, Al Durand.
