Brother Dave Barry

Brother Dave Barry passed away on Thursday, April 2nd, 2026, at the age of 51.

David C. Barry, 51, of Joanna Drive, Warwick, RI, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 2, 2026.  He was the beloved husband of Dana M. (Piti) Barry.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Michael and Donna (Coughlin) Barry.

David was known for his sense of humor and his willingness to help others. He had a way of making people laugh and often went out of his way to lend a hand to those around him. At his core, he cared deeply about others and wanted to make a positive difference in their lives.

He faced personal struggles, including addiction, which he battled for many years. Despite these challenges, those who knew him will remember the kindness he showed, the laughter he brought, and the moments of connection he shared.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two children, Christina Barry and David “DJ” C. Barry, Jr., both of Warwick; a brother, Michael J. Barry and his wife Stacey of Coventry and his beloved aunt, Maureen Fox of Cranston. He was the brother of the late Kevin Barry.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Barrett and Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Warwick, RI, with a Funeral Service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be private for the family.
