Brother Kevin Lennon

With profound sadness, we inform you that Kevin J. Lennon, 39, of Charlestown, RI, traveled on, unexpectedly on Thursday, January 29, 2026. He was the beloved son of Ralph E. Lennon and his partner Rosann Cardegna and Donna Vitelli-Lennon; the devoted brother of Nina M. Lennon and Daniel J. Lennon and his fiancée, Stephanie Bunch and the cherished companion of his beloved dog of thirteen years, Rigbee. He was born in Concord, Massachusetts, and raised in West Greenwich, RI.

Kevin was a graduate of Exeter-West Greenwich High School, where he excelled in basketball and football. He completed his Associate Degree from Community College of Rhode Island.

Kevin worked as an electrician for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 99 for over 20 years. He built a respected career and lifelong friendships. This was made possible by the leadership and direction of his father Ralph. Kevin had exceptional electrical skills and was a mentor to many apprentices.

Sports remained a central part of his life, and he was a passionate supporter of all New England sports teams, especially the Celtics and Patriots. He was known to frequent many playoff games. Kevin was an athlete which included playing basketball, softball and running. During the summer months, he could be found hooping on the courts in Narragansett as an enforcer, diving for loose balls and shooting 3s.

Kevin carried that same enthusiasm into everything he loved. He could be found on Jam cruises, at Red Rocks, on the beach at Riviera Maya, grooving at Catskill Chill, Disc Jam, and many other festivals and concerts. You could find him dancing in the front row at Phish, Turkuaz, Lettuce, Umphrey’s, Motet, String Cheese, Vulfpeck, and many more shows. He had a wide palette for his musical enjoyment. His extraordinary knowledge and thirst for music of all genres both past and present, introduced and connected him with many lifelong friends. He amazed friends and family with the many song and movie lyrics he could quote and weave into regular conversations. Kevin's love for music was only exceeded by the love for his family, and he was rarely seen without his best friend Rigbee.

A true free spirit with an adventurous heart, Kevin found joy in the outdoors—skiing, hiking, camping, fishing, golfing, boating, and swimming in the ocean. There wasn’t anything he didn’t enjoy riding: dirt bikes, mountain bikes, longboards, go-karts, scooters and especially his Harley-Davidsons.

Kevin was a foodie and an excellent cook. While he worked at a local restaurant, he created a dessert that was featured on their menu for years. Kevin also loved to travel. He could be found heli-skiing in Alaska, visiting friends in Asheville, sipping coffee in a hammock in Costa Rica, vacationing with his sister in Nashville or Florida, visiting his brother in Texas, or traveling cross country while camping with Rigbee and friends.

Kevin had a deep appreciation for nature’s quiet beauty, from birds and flowers to the simple peace of mountain air, ocean breezes, and the woods. One of his greatest passions was beekeeping, which he shared with his mother, a bond and pastime that brought him immense pride and happiness. He was especially happy when his hives produced more honey than his mothers. Kevin's green thumb began at a very young age and continued into current times with his stellar lemon balm plants, mother of millions plants and medicinal herbs.

Kevin was known for his quick wit, his desire to help others, his kind soul, and his ability to make others laugh. He was famous for his party costumes, especially his unforgettable Ace Ventura costume and his ability to stay in character. He could be seen being pulled on his longboard by Rigbee in a full bear costume on any given day in the neighborhood. Kev was a natural storyteller, who had a radiating charisma that made other people feel seen and uplifted.

During Hurricane Sandy, a Category 3 Storm in 2012, Kevin worked in the hardest hit areas in Long Island and the Jersey shore. It was meaningful work for him- conducting safety sweeps, looking for live wires, helping residents to be safe and restoring power. He was also proud of the short time he spent as a firefighter with the Cross Mills Volunteer Fire Department in Charlestown, RI. Kevin volunteered for Habitat for Humanity in Rhode Island and in Asheville, NC- where he could be seen lifting walls with music icon, Warren Haynes. This was a reflection of his generous spirit and desire to serve others.

Kevin also leaves behind heartbroken and loving Aunts, Uncles, cousins and countless friends near and far.

Kevin’s family warmly invites friends and loved ones to join them in celebrating his life on February 14th at the Quonset “O” Club, 200 Lt. James Brown Road, North Kingstown, RI 02852.

Guests are welcome beginning at 10:00 a.m. to pay respects. Celebration of life ceremony will take place at 11:00 a.m. Directly followed by music, food, storytelling, and time together in Kevin’s memory. The spirit of the day will be leading with love, peace, humor and lightness. There will be an opportunity to share a brief story. If interested, please sign up upon arrival.
