Brother Peter Speight

Lincoln - Peter A. Speight, 81, of Simon Sayles Road, died Thursday, January 2, 2024 at St. Antoine Residence, North Smithfield. He was the beloved husband of Joan G. (Close) Speight, to whom he had been married for fifty-nine years.
Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late John Speight, Jr. and Martha (Woesner) Speight, he was a lifelong resident of Lincoln.
Mr. Speight worked as an electrician for Power Services and for E.W. Audet, retiring in 2006. He was a member of the I.B.E.W. Local 99.
A U.S. Navy veteran, he served in the Seabees during the Vietnam War. Peter was a member of Mount Moriah Lodge #8, F. & A.M., and a member of Lincoln Country Club for many years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Michael Speight of Pawtucket; one daughter, Christine Stromberg of Lincoln; one sister, Judith Lancaster of Lincoln; three grandchildren, Brandon, Megan and Eric; and one great grandson, Barry.
A prayer service will be held Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at 5:00 PM in Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln, followed by a Masonic Memorial Service at 5:30 PM.
