Brother Louis Kelley Jr.

Brother Louis Kelley Jr. passed away on Thursday, December 28th, 2023, at the age of 96.

KELLEY, JR., LOUIS B. “LOU”, 96, a lifelong resident of West Warwick, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at the Kent Regency Center in Warwick. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Phyllis L. (Carr) Kelley in February 1997. Louis was the son of the late Louis B. and Rose M. (Victory) Kelley.

Louis enlisted in the United States Navy in April 1945 to serve in the Pacific Theater of War.

He was an electrician’s mate. Louis was a master electrician with the IBEW Local 99 for over 40 years before retiring. He loved to travel, attend many NASCAR races, and drive to many favorite places. He will be known by many for his slogan “On the Road Again.” Louis was a member of the American Legion Post #2, and the Friendly Sons of Saint Patrick.

He was the father of Michael L. Kelley of West Greenwich, Steven A. Kelley of West Warwick, James F. Kelley of Hope, Colleen A. Kelley (Steven DiIorio) of West Warwick, and the late David P. Kelley, William J. Kelley and Susan R. Auger. Louis was the brother of the late Madeline Morton and Rita Banes. He is also survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be Thursday morning, January 4, 2024 at 9:30 am in the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington, St. (Rte.117) Coventry. Interment with military honors at the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter. Visiting hours are Wednesday evening, January 3, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Kent Regency Center Patient Activities Fund, 660 Commonwealth Avenue, Warwick, RI 02886 would be appreciated. iannottifh.com
