Retiree Donald Simpson

74, passed away Sunday, October 28, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Providence, a son of the late Wheaton R. and Edna M. (Ward) Simpson. Mr. Simpson was a master electrician for the IBEW local 99, for 36 years before retiring in 2000. He has been a Chepachet resident since 1973 and was the recording secretary of the retiree committee of local 99. He enjoyed fly fishing and was fluent in the Japanese language. Other than his children, music was his first love.
He was the father of Jessica W. Garriepy (Roland Jacques) of Foster, Aaron W. Simpson (Sarah) of Lincoln, Lucas W. Simpson (Ashley) of Warwick and Jared W. Simpson of Chepachet. He was the brother of David Simpson of Smithfield. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Dylan Turner, Liam Garriepy, Hailey Hill, Molly Garriepy, Liviana Roberge, Caleb Simpson and Aria Martin.
